As the stressors and living conditions in society worsen, especially through excessive toxification through our environment, medicine and now foods permeated with synthetic chemicals, an immediate and severe decrease in hormones results. First androgens and subsequently adrenal hormones and others (pancreas, thyroid, pituitary, growth hormone, etc......) are effected as the total stress / toxicity levels build. These deficiencies are present now at birth and are, of course, completely ignore...

One of the most obvious signs of our worsening healthcare system is seen in the poor state of health of most practitioners in America.
Not to mention the low life expectancy of the average traditional care doctor, even when figuring in the stress of the career, wouldn't one expect to receive treatment and healthcare advice from someone healthier than themselves? Would any of us ask, much less pay, a financially unsound person for financial advice?
The fact that doctors themselves are unable to maintain a high level of health is one of t...

As we all watch with worry the state of the world and potential for a coming 'crisis' of sorts, or at least a significant adjustment to things, I feel we will see similar downturns in health artificially propped up with an increasing amount of pharmaceutical and political propaganda. We must stay the course in pursuing more natural healthcare solutions and not be swayed by increasing pressure to put our lives in the hands of increasing medications or, even worse, the coming threat of genetic therapies.
With epidemically inc...

I'd like to borrow from highly regarded and intellectual blogger Charles Hugh Smith at www.oftwominds.com of his analysis regarding our nations quickly worsening healthcare system and over medicating of the populace, and how greatly it is intertwined in the current and worsening economic crisis.
In his book 'Survival+' he states:
'Rather than being the happiest people on the planet, Americans are visibly unhappy, anxious, angry, depressed, distracted and all too often heavily sedated with powerful psychotropic medications.

As we sit poised on the passage of one of the most life-changing bills of our countries history we should take a look at a few key points as to what is truly happening and going to happen:
1. The consensus of the general population is that we do NOT want the government in control of our healthcare.
2. When the government does take control of private sector business the quality decreases and cost increases. We simply need to look to our educational, agricultural, and transportation system for...

Happy 2010 to all of our friends and colleagues in natural healthcare.
The beginning of a new decade is always an exciting. We find ourselves in quite a controversial time especially now after the so called 'Naughty Aughties', a decade full of technological advancement, but increasing debt and global crisis in the world economy, epidemic healthcare dillemas, and continuing global conflict.
Healthcare especially seems to be quietly worsening with rampant diabetes, obesity, cancer, immune illness, and significant childhood illnesses...

Homocysteine is a methylation pathway marker that, when not optimal, signals that compounds are not being efficiently methylated, which can lead to inflammation. Some people discuss it as a 'caustic' chemical that 'burns' the inside of arteries. I wouldn't say that is true as it is more of a marker that intimal endothelial cells and other body cells are unhealthy (undernourished) and prone to becoming inflamed / oxidized / infiltrated with excess platelets / WBC's / LDL / etc that are trying to heal the sick tissue.
This imba...

Leptin is a hunger regulating hormone produced in the fat cells and responded to in the hypothalamus which then regulates hunger feedback response. This is an extremely powerful hormone and simply put the fatter we get the more we eat as we become more resistant to the higher and higher circulating levels. Cell receptors down regulate when presented with chronic and high levels of leptin, causing the hunger feedback mechanism to lose power and people to basically always be hungry, and with a hunger that they are unable to control.&n...
